單元四：胡台麗導演專題 (1950 – 2022) Tribute to Tai-li HU

胡台麗導演長期以影像和文字，為面臨現代化快速變遷的台灣常民社會與原住民文化，留下真實深刻的紀錄。其作品重視女性生命經驗的深度參與，兼具人類學者的理性與創作者的熱腸。自1984年起，胡台麗導演共拍攝了8部紀錄片，透過拍攝與放映，激盪出豐富多樣的反思與文化實踐。胡台麗也創辦了台灣國際民族誌影展，同時是台灣國際女性影展的重要夥伴。

本影展選映三部胡台麗導演（1950－2022）作品：《穿過婆家村》、《蘭嶼觀點》及《愛戀排灣笛》，向這位台灣影像人類學、民族誌影像的先驅者致敬。

Through film and writing, HU documented the profound changes faced by Taiwan's indigenous culture and society in the face of rapid modernization. Her works value the deep participation of women's life experiences and reflect a balance of anthropological rationality and creative passion. She was also the founder of the Taiwan International Ethnographic Film Festival and an important partner of the Taiwan International Women's Film Festival. 

Tai-li HU was a research fellow and documentary filmmaker at the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica in Taiwan. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in anthropology from University Center of the City University of New York. Selected filmography : The Return of Gods and Ancestors, Songs of Pasta’ay, Voices of Orchid Island, Passing Through My Mother-in-law’s Village, Sounds of Love and Sorrow, Encountering Jean Rouch, Stone Dream, After Passing, and Returning Souls,etc.. Dir. HU passed away in May 2022.

This film festival showcases three of her documentary works to pay tribute to this pioneer of Taiwanese visual anthropology and ethnographic film.
