    三代同堂的泰雅家庭，哈勇阿公是家族的精神支柱，代表著部落傳承的阿公過世後，家族成員各項價值的衝突不斷，一場風暴，更讓家族感情一夕凍結，如同高山上冬季的那一場雪。影片探討現代泰雅人，碰到生活中的現實挑戰，傳統該保留，還是生活要進步的抉擇與應對？陳潔瑤表示「希望能從我的影片中，可以感受部落獨特的生命氣息，與族人面對現實無奈的特有『幽默感』」。

    Laha Mebow's candid drama portrays the daily struggles of three generations of Hayung's family in a remote Atayal village, dealing with issues such as loss of family land, an unplanned pregnancy, and the death of the patriarch. The film touches on deeper themes of tradition, identity, and poverty, as the traditional system of morals and conduct fades away with the community's language and culture. Hayung's eldest son Pasang runs for township chief to save their land, investing their limited resources to fund the campaign. Despite the stunning winter mountain landscapes, life in the village is far from idyllic for Hayung's family. The film features mostly amateur actors and provides a straightforward portrayal of their complex characters.

    陳潔瑤 Laha Mebow

    投身影視工作多年曾於原住民族電視台、大愛電視台擔任製作人與編導，拍攝以原住民題材為主的戲劇及紀錄片。2008年以《不一樣的月光》追溯泰雅族家鄉傳說。2016年以《只要我長大》獲台北電影獎百萬首獎及最佳導演，2022年以《哈勇家》贏得金馬獎最佳導演獎、第33屆新加坡國際電影節亞洲長片競賽最佳導演。 Laha Mebow graduated from Shih Hsin University. As a female aboriginal director in Taiwan, she focuses on aboriginal issues and extends her interest into Austronesian culture in recent years. Her Lokah Laqi! (2016) won Grand Prize and Best Director at Taipei Film Awards. GAGA (2022) had won many awards including Best Director Golden Horse Award, and has been screened at more than 20 international film festivals.
