My Uncle’s TATALA

It is the biggest asset of the Tao people that they have learned how to be grateful, for they understand the natural environment and how to cultivate natural resources with diligent work. The Tao director recorded the making of the laminated boat in a light and simple documentary My Uncle's TATALA that also carries the deepest messages of love and affection.

JIANG Wei-Ling (Sipnadan)

JIANG Wei-Ling is a member of the Yami tribe. In 2008, she finished the work of art Consuming products come and go which brought her the Special Jury Price. In 2011, to expand her own horizons and to get to know other indigenous communities, she became a backpacker in Australia and worked for Club Med Guilin G.O. in China. In 2014, she returned to Taiwan to be an independent filmmaker.
