

Huang Shu-mei was born in the Peihe township of Tainan county in 1969. She is a graduate of the department of radio, television of the World College of Journalism. In 1990, she joined the Fullshot Communication Studio, assisting field interviews for documentary films. In 1991, she started her own documentary projects and promoted the Fullshot’s documentary films in communities across Taiwan in the following year. Her works include “Wang Bao-tzi”, “Tsao-ching”, “Vegetables and their families” (of living image series), “Tsuei Ma-ma service center”(of visiting community series), “An Encounter with Chungliao” (of the post-921 earthquake reconstruction) and "Formosa Dream, Disrupted."(also of the post-921 earthquake reconstruction)
