    Sing for me, Siou-Man Huang

    Yen-Ping HSU 2009 Taiwan Documentary b/w & color 48min Mandarin、Hakka Beta
    The seventy-year-old actress: Siou-Man HUANG, lived her life to fulfill her mother’s will. She followed her celebrated mother and performed on every stage in each Hakka village since she was 10. In her songs, there are reflections of happiness and sadness in Hakka’s life. Her songs also witness the flourishing and the recession of Hakka Opera.

    Yen-Ping HSU

    Yen-Ping HSU studied at Tamkang University in Taiwan. She then continued her studies at Beijing Film Academy. She was a Scenarist in Tien-Shan Movie Studio, Xing Chiang, China. Then she worked as editor, director and photographer for lms A Healthy Life with Tzu-Chi, Da-Ai Journal and for Behind the Scenes for Life is A Drama.
