Who Cares About the Real

Pei-Shih TU 2008 Taiwan Animation color 5min No Dialogue Beta
The film starts with a photo of a sumptuous banquet that took place before a G8 summit to discuss the food crisis in Japan published in “The Guardian” last summer. It satirizes the bubble way of life in First World countries in the face of the food crisis with a seemingly happy and theatrical scene. During a summit held by the powerful nations to discuss solutions to the crisis, the attendants partake of a sumptuous meal, while the peripheral countries are suffering badly from the exchange rate fluctuations and food shortage.
