Tattoo can be regarded as a declaration, a treatment, a responsibility to body, and a diary of one's life. With the extraordinary pain, tattoo has significant meanings itself and brings purification to life, helping us to investigate the value of our lives calmly and without banter.
Yang, a tattoo master, lost his right hand in an accident in his childhood, but he didn't give up himself. Instead he devoted himself to creating extraordinary aesthetics of tattoo art and has won lots of international awards and respects. Hua, the only female tattoo artist in the film, gave up everything for her tattoo dream and went to Kaohsiung to learn from Yang. Her delicate and unique work stands out in the masculine tattoo world.
Yung is also an outstanding tattoo artist and his daughter wants to be a tattoo artist since her childhood. Yung vows to pass down all his tattoo skills to his daughter. It means the very first tattoo family in Taiwan is about to form. Also, Yung's wife has tattoos from him all over her body, which are the most romantic symbols representing their love.
Inky Soul is a self-discovering journey exploring the true meaning of human's value, describing a story of dreams, insistence, excellence and pass-down missions.
