Space engineer Silvia Casalino dreams to be an astronaut since childhood. When her application is rejected, she decides to figure out what position a female astronaut is among males. She explores the
female icons in history of astronomy and cyber culture. No Gravity is a film between science and fiction, remixed by queer-feminist minds.

Director

Silvia CASALINO

She graduated from Politecnico di Milano in Space Engineering and from National Higher School of Aeronautics and Space. Since 2001, she has been working at National Centre for Space Studies, at first as head of the autopilot in ballistic phase of Ariane 5 and then as project manager for the development of Vega mini-launcher. She also writes for journals such as Towanda! and Vacarme. No Gravity is her first film.
