Heading West tells the story of the chaotic life of Claire, a thirty-eight-year-old woman. She is a lover, daughter, single mother, rushing through the city on her bike with a child seat. We see how this woman struggles through life in several chapters, four seasons. We get an impression of her city life with a child, a job and several successful and unsuccessful relationships, from her ex with a temper to her new lover who can’t make up his mind. This is a filmic essay about life and love in the big city.
