Daughters of God is a story about a Hindu temple in Muslim majority country of Malaysia. It was built by a small community of Indian transsexuals. They are regulars at the temple on the days of prayers, while at night, they roam the streets as prostitutes. Despite their gender preference and profession, the transsexuals have gained the acceptance of the people living in the surrounding neighborhood. Anusha, who has cut her wrists as many times as she was heartbroken and Varsha, an undergraduate working as a prostitute, in order to pay for her last semester in school.

Anna Karenina TOLENTINO

Anna Karenina TOLENTINO is a senior student in Broadcasting and Cinema Studies from the Nanyang Technological University. Her first foray in filmmaking was as a line producer in a short film about kidney donors in the Philippines (Human Organ Preservation Effort), which has gone on to screen at various film festivals, such as the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam in 2008.
