    Viola GROENHART 2010 France Documentary color 9min Digi Beta
    Cees is a short docu-fiction about the filmmaker and her grandfather. Two years ago, her grandfather found himself increasingly isolated from the exterior world, confronted with the acute deterioration of his body, loneliness and longing for intimacy. The filmmaker feels the need to spend time with him without any distance.

    Viola GROENHART

    Viola GROENHART was born in 1981, the Netherlands. Lives and works in transit between Amsterdam (NL) and Vieux-Fort (GP). A filmmaker and visual artist, GROENHART received a BFA in Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy of Art & Design, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and an MA in Video and New Media. Her films are presented internationally by film festivals and art galleries.
