    Vivi CHEN 2010 Taiwan Fiction b/w 30min Mandarin, Taiwanese Beta
    Ten-year-old Gigi is going to the movies with her family in Sunday afternoon. Yet just before their departure, her parents have a quarrel. Her father leaves angrily, and Gigi escapes into her fantasy. The door bell rings unexpectedly with a surprise. The afternoon passed by, but in Gigi’s mind it didn’t. This film combines moving images and stop motion, which adds a favor of pure and innocent point of view to realism. The film expresses potential family problems and struggles to be triggered and the indescribable, reserved yet sincere emotional exchanges between family members from a little girl’s perspective. It is an interaction of reality and imagination.

    Vivi CHEN

    Vivi CHEN was born in 1987 and graduated from Department of Radio, Television and Film at Shih Hsin University in 2010. Under her parents’ influences, she has fallen in love with movies since she was a little girl. In her college years she also worked actively as an intern participating movies making with some famous directors such as Ming-Liang TSAI and Zhang-Ke JIA.
