In 1978, Michal vows that by the end of the summer her daughter Maya will read, write and move on to the next grade. But this summer is set to be full of surprises. Michal's father, Haim, who has been missing for twenty years, suddenly returns, and brings the dark past and hidden secrets. By summer's end the family will have to deal with the past and the painful, yet liberating process will lead them onto a new path.

Director

Noa AHARONI

Graduated from Sapir Academic College in 1994, she then attended to a one-year course in 1999, focusing on directing. Later, she studied Psychodrama in Isis Israel from 2009 to 2012. Her works includes both feature films and documentaries. She also has worked as an assistant director for Ari Folman and Ori Sivan in the film Clara Hakedosha. By Summer's End is her first feature length film, and the story is partly based on her own childhood.
