The world’s largest crane’s migration route in east China, where the various crane species live, is currently threatened by the increasing development and habit loss. Xianghai School is located on this migration route. To raise public awareness of protecting not only the environment but also their home, the art teacher at Xianghai School and her students planned to draw a mural on the street walls in town. They interview the people in the community, stores, restaurants, and they got different response from them. Then the children go to the town government with ideas and hope, but are disappointed. Luli GAO

Luli GAO graduated from Nanjing Normal University, majoring in journalism. She worked for Jiangsu TV Station, CCTV and the magazine Minjian. She has a twelve-year experience of video editing. She loves nature, has deep understanding and idea of environmental issues.

Mingming

Mingming worked as a designer for a construction company in Guizhou Province. She also had been working as a veterinarian. She came to Beijing in 2001, working as an editor for a TV station. Her works have been showed on New York University Film Festival, China Documentary Film Festival, Asian Women’s Film Festival (Berllin), Chinese Documentary Festival 2010 in Hong Kong, etc.
