    Ga-young lives in an old shack and desires to live in a new luxurious house. One day, she encounters the spirits of houses in her neighborhood, which is going to be dismantled due to the Urban Renewal Program. A tree was cut down due to the renewal program, and the embodiment of the God of Land who has looked after the spirits of houses and the other spirits fall into chaos. Ga-young and the spirits search for the new embodiment of God of Land, a stray cat, only to find that their own death is approaching. In rage, the spirits lock residents inside the houses to stop them from doing it. To save the people trapped inside, Ga-young asks the cat for help but ends up seeing her childhood memory of a spirit of her old house. She realizes
    her obsession with a big new home is meaningless and tries to save the spirits. Ga-Young realizes that living with the house is not that simple.
