    Apart from economical or political exile, what motivation could bring a woman to leave her country for another? No Woman’s Land questions the desire of these women and their relationship to this displacement, their difficulties and thoughts on this journey. What brought them to begin this adventure, and who pulls along in its wake of complications, culpability and contradictory desires? The complexity of these personal journeys is reflected by the playful form of the film in an intricate set of layers.

    Anne SMOLAR is an artist, DJ and lmmaker living in Brussels. She is also a founder of the magazine “Scum grrrls”. Scum Grrrls is a feminist (maga)zine from Brussels, Belgium, inspired by radical feminism and riot grrrl. No Woman’s Land is his rst feature lm.
