The lm is about a girl’s rst love, but with the wrong person. Eva is 16 years old, a bit absent minded and also uneasy about puberty which causes her to say things she didn’t plan to, and the world seems to be against her. Eva’s mother died when she was still a little girl, and the father she had left brought home a new girlfriend, Inger. At rst, Eva resisted the existence of Inger, she tried many ways to kick her out of their lives. The continuous events hurt Inger terribly. But the beautiful and liberal woman forgave and comforted Eva in return. Eva was touched and fell in love with Inger.
Heartcut is a warm and humorous drama between a father, a girlfriend, and a daughter that didn’t want to, but couldn’t resist. The director accurately masters the rhythm of the story beautifully.
