    LIN Hsin-I 2015 Taiwan Documentary b/w & color 36min Mandarin, Japanese, DCP
    Taiwan, Okinawa, and Jeju Island seemed to undertake their separate destinies after WWII, and yet the three islands carry an isomorphic historical texture. The documentary images try to shift from literary writings to the actual fixing of body-scene. Adopting literatures as well as the personal research and practices of artists as scripts, parallel with reversible movements of the flesh, the work recounts the unknown history and the symptomatic interpretations of the 3 islands of East Asia.

    LIN Hsin-I

    LIN was born in Taipei, Taiwan and currently works as an independent filmmaker. She has years of experience in independent documentary and visual art production. NaZha was her first artistic documentary; then LIN continues to make 3 Islands, 69th letter , and TSHIT L -Á. She uses essay film as a means to develop fresh documentary aesthetics, her works was nominated in the Women Make Waves Taiwan, South Taiwan Film Festival, Kaohsiung Film Festival, Urban Nomad Film Fest and NYC Independent Film Festival etc.
