Witches

Serena PORTA, Domenico DE CEGLIA 2015 Italy Fiction color 10min Italian HDCAM
In the southern italian countryside, there is a witch, a marginalized, outcast woman. The film brings you back to an old childhood season, under the sun of the italian countryside, dried and sunburnt. Among the fields of olive trees, five children play when, through the branches of a fig tree, they see a witch carrying a package in her basket. Curiosity, malignity, superstition and fear of odd become the elements related to the world of magic. Witches, prisoners of an unwanted myth, found themselves to be something the others had decided them to be.
