Mickey spent the last ten years exploring her transition process within the conservative context of Sinaloa, Mexico. Alongside the filmmaker who grew up with her, Mickey uses play and performance to re-signify the past and inhabit the present. Through digital archives, artistic reenactments, and deeply personal encounters, the film moves between tenderness and rage, transforming memory into an act of freedom. Filmed over ten years, Mickey is ultimately an exploration of self-perception and a non-punitive confrontation with the past.
