Love Alone Can’t Make a Child traces the love story of Maria and Christiane and their decade-long emotional journey to fulfil their dream of having a child together. The director, a childhood friend of Maria, lovingly conveys how the couple copes with mounting challenges. Through candid and at times humorous conversations, the film reveals their struggle to maintain both their bond and their individual identities within the relationship. Ultimately, the film delves into the question of how love evolves over an extended period without losing its essence.
