    Artist Dora GARCÍA delves into the archives and, in the searing writings of early 20th-century revolutionary Alexandra KOLLONTAÏ, finds a precious ally to queer and feminist movements in Latin America and beyond. This joyfully militant film traces a complex web of connections between 20th-century European Marxist feminism and 21st-century Latin American transfeminisms, between personal and collective mourning, between a myriad of ways of understanding the feminine, and between the melancholic gaze of disenchantment and the furious, tender, and imperious demand that the Revolution, finally, fulfil its promise.

    Dora GARCÍA

    A Spanish artist based in Oslo, she has represented Spain at the Venice Biennale in both 2011 and 2013. A major retrospective on her three-decade career was held at M HKA, Belgium in 2023. Her work explores the political potential of marginal positions.
