    After being imprisoned for murder during a psychotic episode, schizophrenic Billy POULIN reconnects with filmmaker Lawrence CÔTÉ-COLLINS, one of his former victims. Through letters and a treasure trove of old video diaries, they begin to piece together Billy’s life before and after his diagnosis. What unfolds is a raw, deeply personal exploration of mental illness, accountability, and redemption. Blending personal archives, conversations, and emotional introspection, Billy offers a rare, empathetic look at the long-term impact of untreated schizophrenia and the healing power of storytelling.

    A Quebec-based filmmaker and cinematographer, she is known for her bold, genre-defying films blending fiction, documentary, and improvisation. She combines a career in cinema and television, as a director and screenwriter of many television shows.
