She, a girl with the souls of a cat and flowers, left the quiet countryside and came to the busy city to pursue her dreams. However, under the pressure to survive, she felt lost and fell into a tangle of spirit and flesh, love and desire. Her dreams are dashed. But in the end, the call of her deepest soul finally makes her rediscover herself.
The film uses western painting materials to express the concept of "emptiness" in Chinese culture, showing that traditional Chinese ink wash painting also can be fashionable. In the film, a girl from remote rural area comes to the city; everything makes her feel curious and anxious, including the crowds, unstable working environment, the marketing of negative values, and the betrayal of love…etc.
