    BORN to a Japanese mother and a Canadian father, OLDFORD grew up in Toronto. After earning a degree in cinema, she worked for several arts organizations. Fluent in English, French, and Japanese, she also served as a translator. Her work shows her interest in the way we communicate, through body language, and the gaze.
