LIU Zhen's husband, Xiaoping, was arrested and has been missing for over thirty days. Appearing to be leading a normal life, Zhen projects her anxiety onto her daughter. Everyone comes to help and ventures to guess the reason for Xiaoping's arrest, including Zhen's former suitor, Xin. However, Zhen refuses Xin's help because of an erroneous deal that goes wrong. Finally, Xiaoping returns home, though his return has little to do with everyone's efforts to help him.

YANG Yishu

Born in Hai An, China in 1976, YANG is currently an associate professor of film making and dramatic arts at Nanjing University's School of Liberal Arts. Her 2006 documentary, Who is Hao Ran, was selected for the Locarno International Film Festival and Hong Kong International Film Festival. Her 2010 documentary, On the Road, was also selected by various film festivals. One Summer, the first fiction film was selected for the Busan Film Festival of Korean and Vesoul Film Festival of France. YANG has also written a variety of novels, poetry, and theoretical research papers. Her book, Film Within Film: A Study of Meta-Cinema, was published in 2011.
