    Based on true story, FANG Lei is a housewife who leads a peaceful and affluent life with her husband and daughter. But still, she masturbates. One day, she dreams about a man who changes her life. The man makes love to her. Each time, it gives her a new experience and brings her to heaven. Slowly, the man in her dreams becomes the lover she can´t live without. She gets so addicted to him until things between them get out of control...

    YANG Lina

    Born in 1972 in China, YANG graduated from the Art Academy of the People's Liberation Army in 1995. She then danced and acted in numerous ballets, theater plays and feature films, including JIA Zhangke's Platform. She started to work as an independent documentary filmmaker in 1997. Her first film, Old Men, about the daily life and loneliness of her old neighbors, was the first Chinese documentary that shot with a DV and was largely acclaimed internationally. Her documentaries focus on social issues such as family history and trauma, seniors, and orphanage. Longing for the Rain is her first feature film.
