Based on QIU Miao-Jin’s short fiction of the same name. Filmed in Taipei in the 1990s, it is believed to have been made as part of the inaugural “Video Communication Arts Talent Workshop Film Creativity Class.” The film tells the story of a young woman who commits suicide after experiencing sibling rape; she lingers around, haunting her brother’s memory in the days approaching his twentieth birthday.

A co-creator of Ghost Carnival with writer QIU Miao-Jin in 1991. Ever participated in the production of Dust of Angels and various TV commercials. Now a writer and the General Editor of Persimmon Cultural enterprise CO., LTD.

QIU Miao-Jin

Best known as the author of Notes of a Crocodile, a lesbian classic set in Taipei in the late 1980s and published in 1994, shortly before Qiu's suicide in 1995 at the age of twenty-six. Her directorial works include Ghost Carnival, based on her short story of the same name, and Guide me to Sleep.
