    Where does theatre begin and real life end? Endearing Madame Phung and her transvestite singers travel around Vietnam, sparking fascination and hostility from the local people. This documentary reveals how the transvestite singers in Vietnam have suffered from the discrimination and Madame Phung's last images before her death.

    Thi Tham NGUYEN studied film and theater in Ho Chi Minh, and followed the t rai n ing of Ateliers Varan in Vietnam. Madam Phung's last journey is her first feature film.
