    Yun-Tien CHU 2024 Taiwan, Belgium color 21min DCP
    Adopted by a Dutch family, a young woman has struggled not to feel like a stranger in a country so far from her birthplace, Taipei, and has always longed for a place to feel truly at home. With this desire, she embarks to Taipei on a journey of self-discovery.

    Yun-Tien CHU

    Belgian-based filmmaker CHU previously worked as a production assistant in Taiwan. Her 2016 video installation My Home is on the Other Side depicted settling in a new country. Her film The Strait Between Us explored themes of migration, belonging, and isolation.
