    Formerly a well-known actor throughout Türkiye, Rüzgar ERKOÇLAR hoped he could lead a private life as a transman. With a new job at a bakery and a supportive family and friends, things looked positive at first─until he was outed on Twitter. Suddenly ERKOÇLAR’s journey was thrust onto the front pages. Blud ID witnesses the many obstacles ERKOÇLAR has to overcome in order to live an authentic life and get his blue ID.

    Vuslat KARAN

    A filmmaker based in Istanbul with a BFA degree in Film and TV from Marmara University. Her short films include Tangled (2011), Scorpion (2010), and Uprooting From the City (2006). She co-founded Moxie with Burcu MELEKOĞLU. Blue ID is her debut feature documentary.

    Burcu MELEKOĞLU

    A Türkiyeish director and editor based in Istanbul. MELEKOĞLU worked on film projects after receiving her MA degree from UCLA School of Film and Television. She founded Moxie, an independent production company in Istanbul. Blue ID is her debut feature documentary.
