Electrical Gaza

Rosalind NASHASHIBI 2015 UK, Palestine color 18min DCP
Images of daily life shot on 16mm film are intercut with vivid animated versions of the people, plants and places depicted. NASHASHIBI shows us Gaza as she experienced it in the quiet lull before the onslaught of Israeli bombardment in the summer of 2014. In her film, Gaza is presented as a mythical place, isolated and suspended in time.
