Two girls, Mona and Manar, living in refugee camps in Beirut and Bethlehem, share the dreams, hopes and fears of young Palestinians. The film uses intricate parallel editing to capture the joys and sorrows of the girls' growth, while also depicting the generational experience of exile.

Mai MASR

A pioneering Palestinian filmmaker based in Beirut. MASRI began making films in the early 1980s, and over the course of the past 40 years has directed and produced over 18 award-winning films. Her films focus on the struggles of women and children in Palestinian and Lebanon.
