A Bit of a Stranger

Svitlana LISHCHYNSKA 2024 Ukraine, Germany, Sweden color 90min DCP
A Bit of a Stranger examines the experiences of four generations of women, including the director’s own, and how Moscow's long-standing imperial policies robbed them of their national identity. Each new generation in LISHCHYNSKA's family is more Russified than the last. But Russia's invasion of Ukraine shatters the Russian part of all their identities, forcing them to find another.
