The Other Hiroshima: Korean A-bomb Victims Tell Their Story

PARK Soo-nam 1986 Japan color 60min DCP
A Zainichi writer, PARK Soonam, has researched Korean A-bomb victims since 1965. As survivors passed away one after another, she invested all her savings into documentary filmmaking, teaming up with legendary photographer OTSU Koshiro to collect testimonies and reveal their dual plight as colonized subjects and A-bomb victims. PARK’s debut condensed twenty years of study and received widespread acclaim, being screened in self-organized screenings at 300 different locations.
