    Gina WENZEL 2017 Germany Fiction color 24min German, English HDCAM
    Laura is a self-confident young woman, a member of the new “Me Me Me Generation“, also known as “Generation Y”. Spoilt for choice by life's abundance of options, Laura has lost track of her own aims and ideals. She's always looking for something, she just doesn't know what it is. One night she meets Safi, who has fled her homeland. The encounter gives Laura food for thought.

    Gina WENZEL, was born in Düsseldorf, after she graduated she did many internships in different theaters in Germany and England before she passed her bachelor degree in social work in 2012. During these activities she found her calling in making movies, therefore she started in 2012 to study film at the University of Applied Science and Art in Dortmund. Since 2016 she was studied postgraduate Media and Fine Art Studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) with special emphasis on film writing and film directing. Till now Gina WENZEL produced many films. 2014 her short film “Coming Out”was screened on over 40 national and international short film festivals. Her short film Lilly was chosen by the FBW for Short Film of the Month in September 2015 and received the title of ・Highly recommended”.
