The Middle Dogs Day

The Middle Dogs Day features a rope silently moving around. HAN Okhi employs the technique of stop-motion animation to transform ordinary objects and scenes from daily life into visually rhythmic compositions, using minimal language and abstract codes to reveal hidden metaphors in visual storytelling.

Director

HAN Okhi

Experimental filmmaker and one of the founders of the female experimental film group Kaidu Club. Born in 1948, Seoul, HAN studied Literature at Ewha Womans University, where she assembled a collective of amateur women filmmakers in opposition to the acute misogyny of Korean society and the film industry under President PARK Chunghee’s regime.
