Untitled 77-A is a film about filmmaking. HAN Okhi, in her late twenties, created this rebellious work. Alongside KIM Jeomson, a co-founder of Kaidu Club, they confront the camera with their performative bodies, expressing the feminine perspective of filmmaking as a means of social intervention and challenging the patriarchal dominance and censorship in the Korean film industry.

HAN Okhi

Experimental filmmaker and one of the founders of the female experimental film group Kaidu Club. Born in 1948, Seoul, HAN studied Literature at Ewha Womans University, where she assembled a collective of amateur women filmmakers in opposition to the acute misogyny of Korean society and the film industry under President PARK Chunghee’s regime.
