Once Upon a Beast

Élisabeth DESBIENS 2015 Canada Fiction color 12min French DCP
Once Upon a Beast is a short drama movie of a 12 years old little girl living in a convent. More mature than the others kids, Laurence is taken into an authoritarian world that dictates how to live in society while being refrained from intellectual liberty. In this universe, where it is very hard to see the boundary between reality and dreams, Laurence must learn to distinguish the material world from her free spirit.
