Chiu-Yueh Wang recorded her parents' images unintentionally 1991. In autumn 2005, she took the film back to her hometown at Tai-Tung Count, viewing the images of her deceased relatives with other family members together. The film described the happiness when her family reunited during Mid-autumn Festival 14 years ago (the year of 1991): Chiu-Yueh's father was preparing lunch in the kitchen while her mother was drinking and singing with her aunt. Through the film, the director realizes that she has had some misunderstanding and prejudices against her mother all these years. Yet she can not turn back the clock: it is too late for her to have a talk with her mother.

Director

WANG Chiu-Yueh

Wang was born at a small aboriginal clan on December 29th, 1971. Her father is a veteran, mother an Ami aboriginal. She left her hometown at the age of 15 and worked in a large textile factory in Taipei. Aged 16, she participated in the demonstration against closing the factory and represented student workers of educational programs during negotiations. She has devoted in labor movement since 18 years old. Now she serves as the Secretary General of Federation of Taiwan Warehousing and Transportation Unions.
