The villages of Nanhua at Ji'an town in Hualien County are carrying on an inspiring project-saving old tobacco houses and rejuvenating traditional culture. The theme of the film told the villager Mr. Huang, who was once a tobacco farmer and sub-constructor and now a vegetable vender, hopes to change his old tobacco houses into a new house quietly. The story of Huangs' struggle is almost like Ernest Hemingway's “The Old Man and the Sea". Life is tough enough; their new house construction is difficult and harsh. But Huang told us that they never give up every inch of deserted land, just like the old saying: where there is a will, there is a way.
