Women in Sink

Iris ZAKI 2015 UK, Israel Documentary color 36min Hebrew DCP
In a little Arab hair salon in Haifa, the director installs a mini film set over the washing basin. Both Arab and Jewish women frequent the salon and the director chats with them, while
shampooing their hair, about politics and love. What emerges from these conversations is an
honest and nuanced portrayal of contemporary Israel.
