YEH LU-PING 2006 Taiwan Experimental b/w & color 2min Mandarin
This work is presented by a method of taking pictures of myself, and these self-portraits are made into a storyboard which presents the movement of an external character. Combining the shaking effects of hand drawn animation, it shows the tug-of-war among multiple souls and the struggles of many voices within. Meanwhile, as the door opens and closes, it represents that I peep at who I am, and find out about myself amid self-contractions, expanding and collapsing. I try to find the balance of existence, piece myself together and express my feelings through it. In the creative process, the more I do, the more I know who I am.
