    Ms Liao Qiong-zhi, with the reputation of “Taiwan's Top Sorrowful Female Character(Kudan)", and "The Most Beautiful Aria from the Orient", is especially known for her presentation of suffering woman. While her teachings of Taiwanese Opera spread throughout Taiwan, she not only directs numerous numbers of opera, but also writes, edits different materials for teaching. She is the treasure of Taiwanese Opera for her artistic achievement and cultural commitment. From an actor to a teacher, from an illiterate to a theatrical writer, and from an actor who performs Taiwanese Opera only for living to the winner of XinChuan Stage Performance Award, her whole life falls and rises dramatically and can be seen as a marvelous legend.

    Li Hsiang-Hsiu

    LI Hsiang-Hsiu graduated from Temple University with a Master's degree of Film and Media Arts, now studying in Tainan National University of The Arts, Doctoral Program in Art Creation and Theory and teaching in Shih Hsin University, Dept. of Radio, Television and Film. Her works have been awarded several prizes including three Gold Grain Prizes in Taiwan.
