She has starred in more than 70 films, including Michelangelo Antonioni's Blow Up (1966) and Jacques Rivettés La Belle Noiseuse (1991). Celebrated pop diva, actress, filmmaker, human rights activist and artists' muse Jane Birkin talks about her life on screen and in the recording studio, and her celebrated relationship with the late French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, in an intimate profile directed by Gabrielle Crawford.

Gabrielle started work as a photographer thirty-five years ago. In 1968 in Hollywood when whilst married to actor/ singer Michael Crawford, she started learning from the stills photographer on the set of Hello Dolly in which her now ex-husband was starring.Since learning her trade, few major actors, singers or celebrities have escaped being photographed by Gabrielle. In 2002 Jane and Gabrielle co produced ARABESQUE the concert filmed at the Odeon in Paris which was sold internationally for TV and DVD. Gabrielle publishes her first book Jane Birkin by Gabrielle Crawford in autumn 2004 (6th October France).
