How the Room Felt

Ketevan KAPANADZE 2021 Gerogia color 74min Georgian DCP
In Kutaisi, a post-industrial city of Georgia, a local women’s football club becomes the safe space for a group of female and non-binary queer people, who get together regularly to hang out, party, hug, and discuss existential issues. The film skims the outer walls of this protective bubble, making palpable the extraordinary atmosphere as the mood shifts from celebratory to intimate and lethargic, to lively with debate.
