    Poly STYRENE, the lead singer-songwriter of the British punk band X-Ray Spex, was the first woman of color in Britain to front a successful rock band. As a mixed-race woman from a working-class background, Poly had to navigate scrutiny throughout her career. Her story is made into film by her daughter Celeste, who sets out to explore her mother’s legacy—the life of a true pioneer of punk.
