    Forbidden to See Us Scream in Tehran

    Following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, popular music was outlawed in Iran and women were not allowed to sing or perform solo. Shima, lead singer of a death metal band, plots to call the police on her underground concert, hoping the raid will help her flee Iran and seek asylum in another country. However, her getaway plan also entails abandoning her deaf, teenage sister, Sherin. What will Shima choose, freedom or loyalty?
