Patti Smith, Electric Poet

Anne CUTAIA Sophie PEYRARD 2021 France b/w & color 60min English DCP
Summer 1967, Patti SMITH left her rural home for Manhattan, with the dream of becoming an artist. Landing upon the ashes of post-hippie culture, she upsets all existing codes: cliché rock’n’roll, prosaic poetry, and the restrictive idea of gender. She creates her own mythology without compromising. Gathering rare archives and legendary concerts, Patti Smith, Electric Poet traces the journey of a word lover who became an iconic artist of our time.
