    Barbora SLIEPKOVÁ 2021 Slovakia b/w 80min Slovak DCP
    Lines depicts the everyday hustle and bustle of contemporary Bratislava, a post-socialist city whose inhabitants cope with the constant grind of urban construction, collapsing traffic and rising housing prices, in addition to their own woes. This visual essay is SLIEPKOVÁ's first feature and a love poem to her hometown. The city of thick lines, along with the ordinary stories of the protagonists, together shape the magical city of Bratislava.

    Barbora SLIEPKOVÁ

    A graduate of Documentary Directing at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she is regularly involved in the creative process of auteur documentary films. She is now collaborating with other filmmakers on the anthology film about ecological catastrophes in Slovakia.
